Itinerary:
Day #1 Rome, Italy. Benvenuto! Welcome to Rome. Time to relax or begin exploring the “Eternal City.”
Day #2 Rome. Morning guided sightseeing and orientation, including headset, takes you to the VATICAN MUSEUMS to view some of its amazing treasures. See the SISTINE CHAPEL, with Michelangelo’s famous ceiling paintings and The Last Judgement. Visit monumental ST. PETER’S SQUARE and BASILICA, originally built in 313 AD above St. Peter the Apostle’s tomb. From 1506, the Basilica was reconstructed by great artists and sculptors, and it has the largest interior of all Christian churches.
Day #3 Rome. Full day at leisure to enjoy this splendid city. Ask your Local Host for suggestions.
Day #4 Rome–Paris, France. Travel to Paris by air on selected flights.
Day #5 Paris. Morning guided sightseeing and orientation takes you to famous Parisian landmarks: see the Latin Quarter, Napoléon’s Les Invalides, the Opéra, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, which honors those who fought for France, and drive along the Champs-Elysées. Admire the rose windows and other splendors in NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL. Take photos of the Eiffel Tower from one of the best panoramic viewing points.
Day #6 Paris. Full day to explore the magnificent “City of Light.”
Day #7 Paris–London, England. Morning transfer to the HIGH-SPEED EUROSTAR TRAIN with early-afternoon arrival in London
Day #8 London. Morning guided sightseeing and orientation takes you past the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben beside the River Thames, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall’s mounted horseguards, the Prime Minister’s Downing Street, and Piccadilly Circus. Visit ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL and see the Changing of the Guard (if held) at Buckingham Palace.
Day #9 London. Full day at leisure to enjoy all the city has to offer.
Day #10 London. Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning.
