Accommodations: Guest rooms and suites have a trendy, stylishly minimalist decor that fits with the modern architecture of the exterior. All are housed within the main, high-rise building, and are equipped with air-conditioning, TVs with satellite/cable channels, alarm clocks, telephones, high-speed wireless internet, coffee/tea makers, in-room safes, hair dryers, and iron/ironing boards. NOTE: This is a non-smoking resort. Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms or public spaces, including restaurants, lounges, and meeting areas.
Dining & Entertainment: Level 25 is the main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and serving a selection of international fare, including Asia-Pacific dishes and choice steaks. Topped by the resort's famous circular shell dome, Perla specializes in fresh seafood, and serves lunch and dinner; due to its popularity, reservations are highly recommended. Also serving lunch and dinner, as well as tapas and drinks, is Solera, located poolside. The Sidewalk Cafe has a casual atmosphere and opens in the afternoons and evenings. Deli-style breakfast is available at Aroma. Drinks are poured at several bars and lounges throughout the property. Room service is available from 6:00am-11:00pm.
Recreation: The strong waves at Condado Beach attract many local and traveling surfers, but can make swimming risky – still, the golden sands are idealfor sunbathing, and the abundant palm trees offer shade. There are 2 outdoor pools and whirlpools. There's also a fitness center, hiking trails, and volleyball, plus activities like mountain biking, horseback riding, tennis, and golf within driving distance. Local attractions include San Juan’s historical district and the San Cristobal Fort. COMING SOON: A 24-hour casino, 2 additional restaurants, and a full-service spa with oceanfront treatment rooms are scheduled to open in summer 2008.
