Accommodations: All rooms and suites feature a private balcony or terrace and a living area with a sofa or sofa bed. Amenities include air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, in-room safe, mini-bar, liquor dispenser, hairdryer, and iron/ironing board. Suites feature separate living rooms and hydro-massage bathtubs. Interconnecting rooms, ocean view rooms, and suites with terrace Jacuzzis are available. Room service is provided from 7:00am-11:00pm.
Dining & Entertainment: Buffet-style meals with cook-to-order stations are served at El Medano, open for all meals, with themed dinners twice a week. There are 4 a la carte restaurants open for dinner-only: Misaki serves Japanese cuisine; San Jose is a Mexican restaurant that serves pizza during the afternoon; Sir Lawrence specializes in Mediterranean gourmet dishes; and Mar del Cortes is a poolside grill in the afternoon, with a seafood and steakhouse menu in the evening. NOTE: A la carte dining requires reservations. Drinks are mixed at 5 bars, including 2 swim-up bars, and 2 have outdoor terraces. Snacks, and local and imported beverages, are available 24 hours a day. Live music and shows take the stage at the outdoor amphitheater, and the Pacha nightclub is a great social scene.
Recreation: There are 2 swimming pools, one reserved for activities like pool volleyball and the otheroffering a more subdued environment and in-pool sun loungers. More loungers are available poolside and on the beach. NOTE: The undertow here can make the ocean unsafe for swimming, but safer waters are adjacent to the property. Nearby are a variety of land and water sports including tennis on a lighted court, horseback riding, golf, volleyball, windsurfing, water-skiing, kayaking, and jet-skiing. There's also a fitness center, a sauna, and a Jacuzzi, and the Renova spa provides massages, treatments, and beauty services to rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit. The kids' club for ages 4-12 features safe, supervised and, most importantly, fun activities.
